Accessing Public Toilets during Covid-19
The ISCC are highlighting the need for all businesses and public amenities to support people living with IBD by allowing those presenting the ISCC “No Waiting” card access to public toilets while still abiding by public health guidance.
Living with IBD can be a daily struggle, and while we are in the midst of a global pandemic, for people living with IBD, this presents unique difficulties. During this crisis, many people living with IBD have been refused access to a public toilet in urgent situations.
The Irish Society of Colitis and Crohn's provide members with a “No Waiting” card which is recognised worldwide, and should grant the holder immediate access to a public toilet in an emergency situation.
The ISCC are calling on businesses and public amenities to support people living with IBD by allowing those with presenting the ISCC “No Waiting” card access to public toilets while still abiding by public health guidance.
Below outlines organisations, businesses and public representatives who are supporting the use of the “No Waiting” card. (This resource is being updated daily)
